Lockdown Shelter: Kanye West vs. Rolling Stones (Mashup)
…queue the blaspheme calls.
Most of the time I find the ‘mash-up’ remixes don’t work… I downloaded the Jaydiohead (Jay-Z Radiohead – Wasn’t the Grey Album enough?), listened the the 1000+ versions of mgmt’s kids mixed with everyone from Michael Jackson to the beatles… but usually they’re a miss.
There are times that the mash-up seem to work… for me, I believe this to be one of them.
Love Lockdown – The original recording is actually one of my least favorite tracks of 808s. I always thought it was missing something…. I think it’s pretty funny that they even run Mick Jaggers voice through the auto-tune. I wouldn’t be surprised if the next state of the union is broadcasted through a vocoder.
