Tastes Like Chicken – Simian Mobile Disco
Ohhhhh roving monkey danceparty how do I dig thee…
It is not a secret around the coop that the Wiz digs bleeps, bloops, schizo Hal 9000 styles and turntabalism of all sorts. The Chicken already has the tee shirt, xmas fanclub album , the poster annnd the lunchbox of SMD.
Their last album was muy brilliant and I am pinkled tink that they are dropping a new joint ASAP so I figured now was as good a time as ever to shout these digital demons out.
The new album is full of name brand feats which hopefully( unlike MSTRKRFT, sorry, I still heart you though!) they don’t pull da big whiffa on and muck up some blazing tracks.
The lead off track feats Chris from Yeasayer and TBH took me a spin or two , but now I playlisted it. The otros tracks are an old fave remixed and nice little toe stepper.
Bottom line, these guys should be on your radar, sonar, refrigerator and your summer playlists if they aren’t arrready.
