The Almighty Defenders are Here! Well, Actually They’re in Canada
When The Black Lips got chased out of India for perpetrating acts of onstage nudity and homosexuality they found sanctuary in Berlin, where they met up with King Khan and BBQ Show. While laying low in Berlin the two groups formed the latest and greatest supergroup, The Almighty Defenders, and recorded an eponymous debut album due out September 22. With track titles such as, “Death Cult Soup n’ Salad”, “Jihad Blues”, and “She Came Before Me,” the self-described “evil gospel” record is destined to be more life changing than anything that will happen when the world ends in 2012.
The Almighty Defenders played their first ever show four days ago, at the NXNW music festival in Toronto. This clip is from the NXNW festival, of a song called “The Ghost with the Most”. The Almighty Defenders are here, and they are destined to save rock n’ roll.
