To be fair, Atlas Sound isn’t a Deerhunter side pro, but Bradford J Cox’s pet. In fact, he has been using the name looong before fronting Deerhunter. He scammed it from the name of the manufacturer of the Karoke machine he used when he was 12 and has been using it ever since! Classic tale.. boy meets karoke, boy takes karoke’s name, boy becomes hyper amazing muscian..maybe if our first band name had been Aiwa instead of Cheesetooth, we would be on tour now! Grr stupid fate!

Atlas Sound released their first LP, Let The Blind Lead Those Who Can See But Cannot Feel, last yurr on Kranky. The second LP, Logos, has been getting a lot of chitter chatter and is due out on Oct 20th of this year.

This first official release from the album is Walkabout Ft Noah Lennox aka Panda Bear from the interstellar Animal Collective. Also of note, is Laetitia Sadler of Stereolab ( who doesnt love Stereolab??) lending her vocals to a track aswell.

Logos per Cox has a lot of guest musican input and is much more of a broad, outward looking album then the last. All that sounds great to us and really we are on prickly pears to hear the finished product and We hear tell a tour is about to be annouced so goody goody gumdrops! Here is the first cut plus a golden oldie from a land that time forgot..or…well…from last year’s album. Cheers!
