Collectively, I think everyone here wants to write up albums that we’ve listened to a million times. The ones that we’ve kept in our back pockets. The ones you touched your first boob to, or wiener respectively. The ones that broke your car stereos from over-play. The discs that convinced you that dreading your hair and going sans-deoteraint was a good idea. The ones…. you get it. These are albums that are immortal in our minds.

With that out of the way, Reasonable Doubt the initial offering from one of the greatest mc’s Jay-Z is immortal. I have never been a tremendously huge hip-hop fan. I can get into it, respect it, even wish I was able to make it my-self… and I do, catch me on a Friday night around 1:00 a.m. after some beers. It’s really bad.

Getting back to the point Jay-Z’s critically acclaimed, often over looked by fans, Reasonable Doubt is a lyrical masterpiece. Long before ringtone rap, regurgitated buzz word choruses, energy drinks, and auto-tune, rappers had to rely on well constructed tracks, life experience, and the real god-given right to per-sue the American-damn-dream.
