Volcano Choir is Justin Vernon (Bon Iver) and Wisconsin experimentalists Collections of Colonies of Bees. Volcano Choir has released the track “Island, IS”, which displays much of what you would expect from Justin Vernon’s song construction – falsetto, vocal harmonies / effects, and building rhythm sections. “Island, IS” ditches the acoustic guitars in ex-change for loops and ambient noise. The song itself is not a mind-blower but I think we’re all really excited to hear what Volcano Choir has to offer.
