If you know me, you know It takes a lot to pry me away from me fave bleeps and bloops so when a folk band sneaks into my playlists it is an event. Seriously, the folk fanatatics at The Coop start talking to me again , we have cake and make balloon animals haha. It is a kinda a grande deal.

I love music and I love talking about music obvs! So, I was throwing back shots talking to Jesse from our boys The Daredevil Christopher Wright recently and we got on the topic of what we like now. He had never heard The Filthy Dukes and I had never heard The Bowerbirds. He was pretty insistant they were bueno and I should bend an ear and I got my arm twisted. Berry berry glad I did.

The Bowerbirds -Upper Air via Dead Oceans is a superb album. This is North Carolina’s finest,The Bowerbirds, second lp and is all good things. I mean Crimminy Jickets, they live in an Airstream trailer which is rad. Throw on your plaid, grow out your beard, grab an accordion and take a listen!
