Tune Yards is the one woman army(she did it all on this Lp) of a project by New England’s own, Merril Garbus. Who? Right! But oh fo sho this is a really fun disc and we are keeping our beak cocked and a beady avian eye on this woman and her sicko voice! Super Lo-Fi filthy nasty and I think I hear a ukulele… and seriously you can’t have a party with out a ukulele!!er..wait… is that a luau hmm whatever! you invite us to either and we say Mahalo!
Bird Brains is all over the map and mos def worth your headset and a fantab summery album. It reminds of all good things. A grrreat lp. She got picked up by 4AD and we think they made a wise choice. Grab a Spoon and Dig in you will lika da spicy meatball! Are we ring shopping yet? too soon to tell, but it looks very promising!
