MP3-Shooting Star- Harper Simon

Harper Simon, son of one of my favorite American songwriters,  has an album on iTunes this very minute and it is also scheduled to be released in the physical form on Tulsi Records October 13.  The first single, “Shooting Star,” is a powerhouse of a track that will stay with you for days.  It showcases Simon’s wonderful vocals bathed in reverb, his ability to write a fantastically catchy pop song, and a rollicking backdrop that’s full of steel guitar and piano.  Not that I’m in to comparisons but on first listen I hear touches of My Morning Jacket & Grandaddy.  Not too shabby considering they’re two of my favorite bands from this decade. Take notice everyone,  Harper Simon has landed.  Go out and get the record and see him on tour this fall!!
