MP3: School of Seven Bells- Iamundernodisguise (Alternate Take)

Coming across our desk this week is a track by School of Seven Bells, “Iamundernodisguise.”  The group, made up of original Secret Machine Benjamin Curtis and identical twin sister vocalists, Alejandra and Claudia Deheza, create layered dreamscapes that blink and pulsate.  This song is a terrific example of just that. While the thick bass line, futuristic guitar, and head bobbing breakbeat create a terrific structure, it’s the married vocal harmonies and chants that breathe vibrancy and life into the track.

This version is an alternate take on the original  that was released on their debut, Alpinisms. On October 13th Vagrant will be releasing a deluxe edition of Alpinisms that will feature as a bonus- alternate takes, demos, live tracks, and new mixes of songs heard on the original.  Gotta feeling you’re gonna dig it!
