of Montreal vs. Hall and Oates: Kevin Barnes interviews Daryl Hall

“If you were anywhere near a radio in the ’80s, you are likely familiar with Daryl Hall and John Oates. The duo’s string of hits is remarkable—”You Make My Dreams,” “Private Eyes,” “Maneater,” “Out of Touch,” and more. In fact, they are considered the most successful pop duo in music history, with 22 Top 20 singles, six platinum albums, and six albums gone gold.” (via under the radar)
I think a lot, if not everyone (we’ll at least me) LOVE the Hall & Oates. They are one of those bands that people file under the ‘guilty pleasure’ category. I’m asking why? Albeit, some of their songs are tots macheesemo but total pop genius in the same right. I think it was very fitting to have the new glam-pop poster boy, Kevin Barnes, do the interview. It’s a good read, go check it out. Also, if you wonder what Daryl Hall has been up to, check this out.
