Get a Free Preview of Tom Waits’ New Live Album

The first eight tracks off of Tom Waits’ upcoming live album, Glitter and Doom, are now available for download on his official site. The tracks are off of the first disc of the the two disc album, the first disc being strictly music, while the second disc, entitled Tom Wales, will be a compendium of Waits’ on-stage rants and sometimes long-winded musings.
Any Waitsian scholar familiar the album Nighthawks at the Diner, especially “Emotional Weather Report,” will have a good idea of what can be expected on Wales and should also be very excited for the album-length nonsense.
If the free cuts off of Glitter and Doom are anything to go by, this is going to be a very good live album. The production is crisp and seamless, not once does it sound like a compilation of ten different shows strewn across the states and Europe, which is what it is.
