The Week in Revelry: October 12-19

Here’s to another great week of great live music in the Mitten. Envy shrouds Milwaukeeans as Kyp Malone’s (TV on the Radio) fantastic other band, Rain Machine, hits my favorite Regent Street hangout, The Annex. Madison also gets a full dose of the darling St. Vincent at another favorite spot, High Noon Saloon, as we get an opening set. But not to worry, and no one is really going to boo hoo for Milwaukee too long, as we get a a double dose of the world’s favorite whistling crooner, Mr. Andrew Bird at the midwest’s BEST CONCERT VENUE, The Pabst Theater. Oh, both performances are being recorded for a DVD taboot!
——-*After further review, MKE & MDSN end up in a tie this week for best concerst due to the always entertaining Mike Doughty at Shank and the “I don’t care who knows it, but I love them still” Moe. Go out and see great music!
Per usual I posted some tracks by some of the bands that you may not be familiar with. If you dig’em, go see’em!
