Sleeping States – In The Gardens Of The North
The UK’s Sleeping States have been receiving glowing reviews from a variety of publications as of late, for their latest LP In The Gardens Of The North. The first couple listens didn’t blow my mind but after giving it a bit more time, the jazzy folksters can set a vibe. At times, In The Gardens Of The North’s music is reminiscent of a simpler time when barber-shop quartets and jazz music were the bees-knees. I think ears that gravitate towards the ethereal sounds of Grizzly Bear / Sigur Ros will dig.
