411 In The 414: Prophetic

Last week the folks over at Umbrella Music Group were kind enough to comp me a copy of Prophetic’s latest album, Mo Money, Mo Progress, which you can get here on itunes.  Mo Money is definitely worth the 9.99 you would’ve wasted on booze tonight.

Prophetic is Milwaukee’s great rap hope. Tracks like the laid back, “Brewers Cap”, “Entrepreneur”, and  “Big Dreamer,” an R&B laden cogitation on thinking large in a small city, secure Proph’s place as the Brew City’s newest hip hop icon.

In a hip hop scene dominate by Slug wannabees, Mos Def knock offs, the despicable  JUICEBOXXX, and the ghost of Speech, Prophetic stands out by not trying to be anything but himself, a deft m.c. with limitless potential.
