Upon my first listen to Bon Iver’s For Emma…. my ears smiled and skin felt warm. The beauty emoted from Justin Vernon’s voice and the sounds that accompanied it were a soothing reminder that music didn’t need to be loud, chaotic, or complex to be good or challenging, it just had to make you feel. I remember having a similar reaction when I heard Fleet Foxes debut. I bring this all up to introduce (some of) you to a vocal collective out of Los Angeles, Sonos. Their album of indie friendly a cappella covers, SonoSings, came out September of this year and is pretty amazing. Take a bath and soak to it, go to sleep and dream to it, and try to enjoy the hell out of it….Happy Tuesday!
