After unsuccessfully courting record company execs for the past two years Decibully has done the ballsy thing and decided to launch it’s own record company, Listening Party Records.

Tonight, at eight o’clock, at The Cactus Club, is the launch party for the self-described, “boutique imprint…that specializes in high quality, limited-edition vinyl releases and pay-what-you-like downloads”, and the first “pay-what-you-like download” on the site is the new Decibully album (finally) World Travels Fast.  I paid 5 dollars for it, which is four more dollars than what I paid for In Rainbows, and if this business model works half as well as it did for Radiohead, Listening Party could become the Milwaukee label.

What better way to show your support and love for the this city and its musicians than to come The Cactus Club tonight at eight for the listening party for Listening Party Records.
