Royal Bangs – Let It Beep
Let It Beep is the Knoxville, Tennessee’s Royal Bangs second offering. Let It Beep is a headphone album, all of the pretty little nuances come out to play. The album is a 12 track burner that never lets up. The Royal Bangs remind me a bit of White Denim, in that they have extended instrumental sections and have no problem flipping stylistically without any warning. Musically, Let It Beep is far more electronic than anything on Fits or Exposion.
To be honest I had never heard of these guys and stumbled onto the disc but I’m really glad that I did. Let It Beep is a really fun album. Also, the album art (obvs above) is sick.
