Foxy Shazam
One of the bands whose live show is sure to get nuts at SXSW this year is Foxy Shazam, a glam rock group of fellas out of Cincinnati Ohio. If you miss The Darkness, maybe check these glittery buckeyes out. Word is, frontman Eric Nally joined forces with Justin Hawkins to write songs for Meatloaf’s upcoming project? They have also been selected to play SPIN’s SXSW party with Sharon Jones and Hole. Sometimes a track like this can be a really great listen but a whole album of them becomes a bit much unless one’s home is filled with forties and jumpsuits, so we will see. The major label debut is on its way, out April 13th on Sire Records and in the meantime check out this raucous anthem called “Oh Lord”
