Happy Spring 2010.  This week we’ve been greeted with warmer temperatures (bollocks now), shelves full of multicolored Peeps at Walgreens,new music from James Murphy via the soundtrack to  Greenberg and now we get the first  single from LCD Soundsystem’s still untitled follow up to Sound of Silver that is set to drop May 18th on DFA/Virgin .  ”Drunk Girls” is a party up song full of 80s synth pop lines, a wailing guitar solo near the middle and Murphy’s signature slurrily spoken declarative statements.  It dropped an hour ago and I’ve heard nothing but repeating “drunk girls, drunk girls, drunk girls, drunk girls” for sixty straight.  It’s a winner.
