Holy Ghost! Static On The Wire EP out May 18th
DFA Records is set to roll in 2010. Having released Free Energy’s debut a couple of weeks back and with two hot releases on the stove set for this spring, they’re sure to boil over. Unless you live under a rock or still have a dial up connection you’re already well aware of this, but on the same date, May 18, DFA will release the debut EP from New York’s disco remix junkies, Holy Ghost!. Static On The Wire is a full on dance party packed into just under 30 minutes. Alex Frankel and Nick Millhiser (Holy Ghost!) offer up a steady mix of heavy disco grooves with 80′s synth pop pop folded in that’ll go down smooth with whatever else might be on your menu. Peep Static On The Wire’s lead track below along with their remix of “Drunk Girls.” And try to make plans to get to LCD Soundsystem shows early this summer so you can catch Holy Ghost! shaking legs and asses before James Murphy blows minds.
