A Good Saturday Track: Sunglasses “Whiplash”
It’s a beautiful day, for now, because later it’s suppose to rain, and I can’t imagine a more suitable soundtrack for all that blustery sun than the Sunglasses track, “Whiplash”. This track seems to be in a thousand places at once, melding it’s drum machines, faux strings, and a construction site all into a danceable pop construct.
Sunglasses is a Savannah based amalgam of Samuel Cooper’s throwback glitch-rock 8000 Bam Bam, and Brady Keehn’s Baby Seal. The pair is currently working on a full length release due out before the end of the year, but for now we’ll have to be contented with their self-titled EP which will be hitting stores on June 15th.
