Panda Bear| Tomboy & Slow Motion
As you should know Panda Bear dropped his highly anticipated 7″ consisting of “Tomboy”-Side A and “Slow Motion”-Side B on Tuesday. Well as expected they’re pretty damn cool. “Tomboy” seems like an ideal album opener with a guitar riff that never quite climaxes coupled with a rhythm section that evokes the idea of a storm a-brewin’, it closes with Panda Bear giving in and singing a bit less restrained as the instrumentation disperses. “Slow Motion” finds Panda over an awesome boom-bap beat, i’ll let y’all form your own opinions from here though. I’m ecstatic to check out the full album come September and am praying for a rapper to get on “Slow-Motion” (no Juvenile though). Grab you 7″ here! Headphones highly advised. Panda Bear will be playing this Saturday at Pitchfork Music Festival, see you there.
