I was completely in the dark about Fucked Up..that is  until Record Store Day(get there some time as long as you get there eh?). These maniacs dropped a “fake” album of fictitious 70′s brit bands called David’s Town.. which is a pretty chucklesnort concept …so I figured.. I am down to clown..let us check em out.

Fucked Up is not surprisingly, hardcore.  Milwaukee residents.. think Call Me Lightening..but .. more..well..just “MORE” and also from Toronto so there is that aye!.  The vocals might getcha, but they are par for the course and work like a glove.

As much as I appreciate good music ,  I am (prolly) not going to be stuffing my pod with Fucked Up’s album David Comes to Life on June 7th via ultraslick Matador Records . No Ma’am. I just can’t hang ten with Hardcore as a daily driver. My phasers are set to chill mode at this stage of my life. Do I think Pissed Jeans are good? Yes. Do I like to listen to Pissed Jeans?.. not often.  Same sorda deal here.  Good is good though .

Bottom line these guys are really good . The album should be amazing. If this is your cup o’ tea.. get excited. If it isn’t you should still give it a listen to hear it done well and perhaps broaden your horizons. You know, try something new.. like brushing your teeth regularly, ya filthy dirt monster haha!
