I saw Yacht over the weekend Milwaukee’s Turner Hall. Equipped with a full band and a slew of new material, I was incredibly impressed. The once one-man concept project has blossomed into a well ranged dynamic live act. Head man, Jona Bechtolt, gladly takes a step back to showcase his “i wrote all of this and play every instrument and play them really well” talent, while Claire Evans’ charming lead engages and delivers that sudo-apocalyptic dance floor swagger . Below is their first single from the upcoming LP, Shangri-La (6/21 DFA). This band rules.
