Thee Oh Sees might just be my favorite newcomers-who’ve-been-around–but-took-me-way-too-long-to-appreciate. They’ve had their fair share of new drummers and guitarists, changed the band’s name (The Ohsees, OCS, Orange County Sound, Orinoka Crash Suite) until they got it just right, and have about a dozen LP’s — but just because they’re ripping through albums like John Grisham novels, doesn’t mean they get sloppy after a while. Here are just a few of my favorite songs to add onto The Wiz’s post about them last week. Dig them? Grab their vinyl off InSound – it’s usually crazy colorful and has some kick-ass inserts.
