Original Recipe – Pavement
“We just wanted to make something that we thought was beautiful-sounding and special, … but how do you go about doing that? I don’t know. But as far as sound goes, I don’t worry about that. It takes care of itself.”
Again as with all Original Recipes …there is really not much to be said… Pavement was,is and always will be one the best and most influential bands of our generation. Pavement was a huge part of my growing up with music so much so that I take it for granted that everyone knows and loves them. Asking if you love Pavement is as ridiculous to me as asking if you breathe air.
For this installment, I selectified Pavement’s final show ever, 9/24/10 Central Park. The last show of their 5 night NYC farewell run. Will Pavement ever play again? We hope so.
EDIT: At the request of Dan from NYCtaper we are only posting a a sampler of the 37 track show please feel free and DO click on the links below to grab not only this show but the whole run on Dan’s awesome site. Thanks Dan!
