Here are some promising demos from Milwaukee folk band Greatest Lakes. A fellow bearded man had been telling me about the band here and there and after listening I have to say there is some pretty promising stuff within the demos. The slow-churning fragile fidelity of “Sun Song” and “My House” along with the distant reverb soaked choral vocals are reminiscent of Tennessee Fire era My Morning Jacket – which, to a lot of people, is a real good thing.
